It is science fair season, and our Stratford Fremont Middle School and Stratford Pleasanton Middle School students showed their innovative prowess on Saturday, March 16, when they competed in the 2024 Alameda County Science and Engineering Fair. Our two middle schools took home a total of 46 science fair awards, including eight 1st Place Awards and Teacher of the Year! Two of our science fair winners will go on to compete at the State Fair, Vansh Jindal (8th – PLSMS) and Ayana Baul, Siri Nuvvuru, and Nadia Tsui (7th – FMS).

Congratulations to all of our amazing junior scientists and our dedicated teachers who have been there to support and coach our students in their projects every step of the way. We are confident that our students will be the future visionaries who will lead us in life-changing scientific innovation and technology.

About the Alameda Science and Engineering Fair:
The Fair provides an opportunity for local students to showcase their science and engineering savvy at regional, statewide, national, and international levels. We are coming into another highly successful year! ACSEF provides a forum for stimulating student interest in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (S.T.E.M.) and an avenue for educators to fulfill the Common Core Standards and Next Generation Science Standards. Grade 6-12 students educated within Alameda County from home school, charter, public, private, and parochial schools are eligible to participate in the fair held annually in March.
