Rachel Altreuter has been part of the Stratford School family for over twelve years. Before taking on her current role as Principal at Stratford School’s San Francisco campus, Rachel taught first grade for five years, served as a first grade mentor teacher, and as a vice principal. She also serves as an elementary leader mentor to her fellow leaders.
As an educator and administrator at Stratford, Rachel encourages students and staff to respect and appreciate others’ differences.
Rachel strives to develop students’ critical thinking skills, resilience, creativity, and an understanding of the interconnection of academic subjects. She empowers her students to take responsibility for their actions and act independently.

Julia Paramonov joined the Stratford community in June 2023. Before coming to Stratford, she was the principal of a private school in the Richmond district of San Francisco, and has nine years of classroom experience teaching in the 4th and 5th grade classroom.
Prior to entering K-12 private education, Julia taught English as a Second Language and Spanish at the university level. She received her BA in Spanish from The Ohio State University and an MA in Applied Linguistics from Georgia State University.
Julia aims to work collaboratively with teachers, staff, families, and students to build a respectful community of engaged learners and foster academic excellence.

Kristen Saham has been with Stratford for over 17 years. Throughout those years, she has worked in various parts of Stratford such as an Extended day teacher, teacher for PK-2G, Vice Principal, Director, and Principal. Before stepping into her new role as the San Francisco regional School Counselor, Kristen had worked at 6 different Stratford sites in the south bay, including opening two in Milpitas.
Kristen is an enthusiastic champion of holistic education, firmly believing that it goes beyond just knowledge transfer, but also means encompassing the nurturing of students’ emotional, relational, and personal development. With unwavering dedication, she’s committed to both the well-being and academic achievements of our students.
Kristen is a strong advocate for their mental health, recognizing that emotional stability is essential for effective learning and growth. Her collaborative approach with all stakeholders is poised to leave a lasting, positive impact on the lives of Stratford students, filling their educational journey with joy and purpose.
