Asita Anand has been part of the Stratford School family for 11 years and has over 20 years of experience in private elementary education. Before taking on her current role as the Head of School, she served as Elementary Principal at Stratford’s Pleasanton campus and the Director of Lower Schools at the Fremont Osgood campus.
Asita’s personal philosophy of striving for excellence through continuous improvement is a perfect match for Stratford’s high expectations. Her vision is to create a dynamic learning environment that fosters reasoning, collaboration, and positive challenges, nurturing each child’s potential. This alignment with Stratford’s philosophy instills confidence in her leadership.

Jessie Channey is a dedicated educator with over two decades of experience at private schools in the San Francisco Bay Area, out of which over 15 years has been with Stratford School. Jessie has held both management and teaching positions, demonstrating a strong commitment to improving education and care for children and building community for families and staff alike.
Jessie believes in providing a safe, loving, and caring environment for children, preparing them socially, academically, and emotionally for higher education. Her cheerful personality, problem-solving skills, and ability to build strong relationships with students, parents, and staff are widely recognized. She is dedicated to fostering a positive learning environment where curiosity is nurtured, mistakes are viewed as learning opportunities, and teamwork and empathy are celebrated for both students and staff. She was the founding principal for Pleasanton campus in 2012 and is excited to return!

As a teacher, Amina strives to encourage young minds to challenge boundaries and ask questions. She firmly believes that teaching should be about how to find answers to their questions. In this way, educators can help stretch the boundaries of children’s imaginations to ensure that they are ready for the challenges of the 21st century.
